Create + Cultivate LA 2014

Posted on: Friday, August 29, 2014

This was our 7th Create + Cultivate (and the biggest.) 100 ladies + gentleman from as far as Thailand gathered in a room in Downtown Los Angeles to feel inspired.  The goal of C+C has always been to enlighten, entertain and inspire-- to cultivate relationships without feeling like you are networking, to meet creatives in an environment that lets you be yourself and to hear some of the  best and the business tell their story and give invaluable advice. It is something I am incredibly proud of creating.  Each year after emails pour in about the game changing experience which make all the blood, sweat and tears that go into feel so worth while.

Next year, we are going BIG and I mean BIG (stay tuned) and I am so excited to bring this conference to even more amazing men + women.  Below are some photos I feel captured the experience.

The best team a girl could ask for!

The Prairies of Paris.

Posted on: Friday, March 25, 2011

"Les Prairies de Paris has a refreshingly natural look that is light, feminine and pure. From shoes to sweaters to swimwear, each piece has delicate details that lend an urban grace to the entire collection." I agree. Sometimes a t-shirt dress, a blouse, just needs a simple detail like a black collar or leather pocket to really make it stand out as a fantastic piece!

Peeped these bad boys over at RAW shoes blog and I mean, what can I say? I am in love. The Rick Owens clothes that hit the Parisian runway last week were dopeshow per usual. However, it was the shoes that caught my attention, holy wowza. love it.

Nomadic Intellect

Arabella Ramsay's new line for Fall is entitled, Nomadic Intellect. I think this fully encapsulates the trends for fall and personally I am in love with this fashion philosophy and not to mention her line. Australia is killing it in fashion right now.

Ms. Merrick

Absolutely loving the breezy beautiful collection from LA based designer Heidi Merrick.

Her bio is an adorable haiku-ish blurb. Loves.
"I am a designer.
My father is a designer.
Until the 4th grade.
Clothes change you.
Put on love."

Frou Frouu.

I just stumbled across this blog Frou Frouu which is written by fashion designer Nadia Sarwar, the London based beauty has impeccable taste and style. I absolutely love her mix of masculine and feminine and it doesn't hurt that she is a total stunner. There are so many fashion/self style blogs out there now it's nearly impossible to keep up! If you guys have any recommendations please leave them in the comments I Would love to check them out!

Huffer Spring 2010

Posted on: Friday, February 12, 2010

With the recent addition of NZ women designer Kristine Crabb, the HUFFER brand will create a heavy presence in American fashion culture. “I wanted to make some really beautiful, strong pieces that were simple and practical in keeping with our modern aesthetic. We’ve drawn inspiration from the cutting techniques of the 1920’s and 1980’s and mixes well with the natural easiness HUFFER has in their womenswear.” – Miss Crab.

I dig the big bold shoulder looks and the Bunchy Skirts.

Available @ 80s Purple starting next week!
