I have a weird affinity towards images of people without eyes (that sounds so weird but I am going with it). I found these awesome prints on Alexey Malina's BEHANCE and fell in love with the comic book/modern feel.
The Reed Shirtdress from ANTHROPOLOGIE is totally inspiring this season and by inspiring I mean totally recycled from the 70s yet totally remains an epic piece for anyone's wardrobe. You can probably find a similar version at any GOOD thrift shop but if you find yourself coming up empty this is a good alternative. Paired with some masculine boots + and a vintage chunky necklace and you have officially balanced the masculine feminine style equation.
Apologies for the intermittent postings. I have had QUITE-A-WEEK. I got laid off last week and am now going through the whole "WHAT-DO-I-DO-WITH-MY-LIFE" phase and I must say I am thoroughly enjoying it! Thank you for all your support and comments I am excited I will actually have time to go through them all :). On a side note I found this amazing Tumblr with inspiring poetry and thought I would share it with you guys, enjoy!.... I stumbled across "pepperminte's" work while browsing online and I love it. I tend to like artists who interpret people in their own way whether by style or distinct feature it really feels like you know each character in the painting. Her work can be found here.
I Want all of this stuff. I have been noticing the fishtail Tee trend going a bit more mainstream and I am a huge fan! The leopard Rachel Comey skirt is TDF and the Dolce Vita Boots are a major want for fall especially @ 88 bucks. Always loving what Bijules is up to particularly with this AMEFYST ring which screams raw style.
When it comes to bracelets I say the chunkier the better which is why I fell in love with Philippe Audibert's collection. Tons of chunky glorious pieces including this large manchette bracelet which is already sold out :(
Pauline thought that love was simple turn it on and turn it off Jean-Marie was complicated like some French filmmaker's plot Gina was the perfect lady always had her stockings straight Jackie was a rich punk rocker silver spoon and a paper plate.
I have been planning intimate dinner parties in Los Angeles on behalf of Citysearch for the past few months and they have been a huge successs! Great food, Interesting people and fun conversations. Last night's dinner party was hosted by the amazing Aya Kanai! We were treated to an 8 course tasting at Bond Street in the Thompson Hotel to ring in LA fashion week! You can read all about it on the Citysearch Blog!
I was lucky enough to meet LA Based designer of WREN, Melissa Coker, last night (who is epically stylish and sweet!). Wren's Fall collection is literally a dream collection slightly tomboyish, whimsical, and chic. I want everything. How far away is Christmas?
